Biography

I have been practicing yoga for 17 years and teaching for 14 years. I have completed 2005 Yoga Fit Training, 2009 Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training 75 hours, 2010 Yoga Works Teacher Training 200 hours, 2011 Antigravity Aerial Yoga, and 2015 “Change Your Life” Bhakti Yoga Teacher Training taught by Raghunath and Sondra Loring. I teach Power and Core Yoga, a unique version of Vinyasa Power Yoga. Influenced by my teachers, I bring a unique blend of Ashtanga, Iyengar, Forrest and Bhakti Yoga. This Fusion focuses on core strength, pose alignment and self- examination, you will flow with a smile yet slow down enough to explore your body in the pose. My classes are always challenging physically and mentally, includes hands-on assists and is delivered in English and Sanskrit with uplifting music. I believe that every practice is a balance of effort and ease, and aim to provide an upbeat and nurturing space for all my students.

One of my favorite quotes is: “Use your voice for kindness. Use your ears for compassion. Use your hands for charity. Use your mind for truth. Use your heart for love”. I love being able to support and encourage my students to step on their mat and to keep returning back. I’m so blessed to do what I do, because I truly believe in the transformative, healing, rejuvenating, restorative and uplifting powers of yoga. I’m proud to be able to help, inspire and serve people in this way. There’s something so fulfilling about seeing a group of students breath and move together to create a sense of community. I’m so fortunate to be able to witness moments where my students connect with the experience of yoga. Seeing students embody the pose, calm the breath and steady the mind is the true reason why I love teaching.
