I began my yoga journey in 2008 when I took my first class. I was intrigued by the way my body felt, the emotional release I experienced, and the connection I felt with others. I began regularly practicing Bikram, then Power Yoga, and then explored Heated Vinyasa, Acro, and Ariel, which eventually lead to breath work and Somatic Movement – all of which supported experiences and challenges faced during different stages of my life. Yoga provided me with the opportunity to reconnect with myself, restore balance, and quiet my mind, uninterrupted by lifes demands. I completed my 200-hour Teacher Training through Barre & Soul in Boston in 2015 and went on to compete a 300-hour advanced studies training in traditional Hatha Yoga with Theresa Murphy in Rhode Island in 2018.
My classes are a blend of Vinyasa and Iyengar styles that reflect my diverse training and my own practice. I create an atmosphere that allows students to practice safely and discover their
own strengths, desires, and aspirations. My fun and invigorating classes incorporate themes of inspiration, self-love, and life lessons; through these themes I encourage students to transfer
the breath, patience, and confidence gained on their mats into everyday life.
One of my favorite quotes is “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” – Albert Einstein. Being part of the Raffa Community, I am able to continue to provide inspiration, share knowledge, and connect through breath, which is why I love teaching!
