Originally from Foster-Glocester, Sarah has traveled around the world and has finally made it back to Rhode Island. Along her journey she has created interesting chapters that continue to pave her pathway.
Sarah dived deep into her personal yoga journey in 2014 when she was living in Hunan, China. While teaching English and attending a Master’s Program, she quickly found out that her passion was childcare and education. After backpacking Southeast Asia by herself, she stayed in Vietnam to join a yoga shala to complete her 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training.
She then moved to Manhattan where she would teach Mandarin to elementary school students, and joined a 20-hr Children’s Yoga Teacher Training. Soon after Sarah then completed a Mindfulness in the Classroom Certification. Sarah quickly gained speed where she became her school’s Elementary-Grade Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher, along teaching yoga privately outside of the classroom.
Sarah’s superpower is helping children realize that they have all the tools they need to be able to self-regulate, separate themselves from emotions, and the power of breathing. In today’s society the pressure children face is growing day by day, and Sarah believes starting to understand the magic of yoga and mindfulness at an early age can significantly make facing these issues much more playful. Day by day and through example, we can show children that by having a Happy Body and a Happy Mind, we can have a Happy Life.
